Author Visit Fees

Local visit (100 miles or less from Austin, TX)
Full day (4 presentations & author lunch [meal provided by school])-$500*
Half day (2 presentations & author lunch [meal provided by school])-$300

All other visits (100 miles or more away from Austin, TX)
Full day (3 presentations)-$700 plus travel expenses (hotel, airfare, meals, vehicle mileage) when necessary*
Half day (2 presentations, from 11 a.m.)-$500 plus travel expenses (hotel, airfare, meals, vehicle mileage) when necessary

*Full day prices are negotiable

For SCBWI Conferences
Weekends-No charge except travel expenses when necessary

All Other Conferences & Adult Speaking Engagements
Weekends & Weekday Evenings-$200/session plus travel expenses when necessary
Weekday Mornings & Afternoons-$400/session plus travel expenses when necessary

Travel Expenses
For non-local and overnight engagements. Any expenses for long-distance transportation, lodging, and meals are the responsibility of the host unless otherwise agreed. Driving expense is estimated ahead based on the federal standard mileage allowance. Advance tickets and lodging must be purchased by the host directly.
